Function:
Wrecker truck (also called road-block removal truck, tow truck, recovery truck, break down truck, breakdown vehicle, wrecker, towing truck) is designed for towing break-down cars or vehicle or bus or trailers on road, to transport the malfunctioning or illegally parking vehicles to another location (generally a repair garage or impound lot) or to recover vehicles which are no longer on a drivable surface. With increasing quantity of private cars, wreckers are now widly used by government organization or towing company to provide emergency road service. It mainly used in highway and city road obstacle cleaning.
Types:
1. According to vehicle loading capacity, there are small light duty tow truck, medium duty tow truck, heavy duty tow truck.
2. According to chassis drive type, there are 4X2 tow truck, 6X4 tow truckk, 8X4 tow truck. The heavy duty tow truck has a rotate crane or boom, lifting capacity reaches up to 30tons. The wheel lift organ on the heavy duty tow truck could be more than 20 tons and the total towing capacity is more than 40 tons.
